Nowadays, Disney+ fans are wondering what is exactly happening with the application. Earlier week, they notice that Disney has removed many titles from the application. Fans have even noticed that from December to January just a one span of month total twelve titles has been removed in US Disney+. There are a few big titles like Pirates of the Caribbean and Home Alone. They started thinking, what was exactly happening? What exactly is being removed from the Disney Plus library? What all has removed? Will it come back? Getting content remove is not uncommon, especially for Netflix when content gets licensing, Disney gets many advantages.
After the confirmation of content, many subscribers may think how did it get removed. There are “rotating slate” which provide licensed movie in every month and the Disney released it before this service got launched.
A spokesperson has confirmed to the Gizmado that small number of titles has left in the platform due to legacy deals. Whatever title has gone, they will wait for licenses to expire. Many subscribers have disgruntled to remove content from the platform, and Disney has to be more open instead of removing content; that time fans will be more relaxed and forgiving. Disney can be transparent and take a page from Netflix. They can even take help from other streaming service like Hulu, which announce everything leaving.
Pre-existing deals will impact Disney+ from many years, especially in the US. Many were stuck before they started working on their streaming service.
